I found it hard to believe this is the first effort by Bolling. Once You've Touched The Heart is very well-written with attention to detail. That may be the only flaw with the novel since the minute details made for a lengthy book. Nevertheless, the characters are three-dimensional, the plot is well-developed and the action is non-stop. Readers may pick this one up thinking it is your average romance, but it is so much more. Bolling is following with a sequel, which I will be adding to my book pile.

Once You've Touched The Heart by Iris Bolling
Once You've Touched The Heart is truly a modern day romance novel. This novel is filled with a lot of drama, suspense and of course passionate love making. When you first start to read this book gives the introduction to characters and their current personal life situation, however after that, you are forever glued to the pages. I was continuously trying to figure out who was causing the next drama for Tracy and JD. this book not only invites you with words that embrace you immediately. but it gives you that real ife experience of what many relationships go through daily with their trials and tribulations. Tracy and Jd had a strong love that they were not willing to let anyone interfere with by any means necessary. This book will inspire you to find that special someone in your life or continute loving that special someone that you already have. This book gave me a truly euphoric feeling all the way until the last page. I was instensely focused on the book like it was a soap opera. I personally will state this is a must read book to all, especially if you love romance novels. I am ready to continue the journey and passion with Ashley and James with the next saga,"The Heart of Him".

Finally the saga continues with best friends Ashley and Tracy but this time the drama is mostly with Ashley. Yes, JD's little sister is trying to find not only the love of her life fut that one Man to replace the father figure that JD used to give her.....and Yes she has found him with Mr. Brooks.....
You really will love the continuation of this soap opera from the first book (Once You've Touched The Heart). This book started off with drama and ended upwith drama that most soap opera have. Great job Iris once again I was trying to stay tuned to see what the next day would bring for Ashley. I was left wanting more of this book and the unique style you bring to your readers.

The Heart of Him is th efollow up to Iris Bolling first novel, Once You've Touched The Heart. This series picks up right where the first novel left off with Ashley Harriosn and James Brooks. The course of the story builds upon their relationship, politics, mystery, intrigue and ALOT of questions that get answered. Richmond, Virginia is well represented in the mix of all that is conveyed in this smash novel. Bolling has proven herself worthy of writing a series with such storng literary contributions from her characters. The plots are superbly weaved together, just enough to keep you flying through the pages to see what happens next! Kudos to the author and I look forward to reading her next installment in the Heart Series!

A Heart Divided

Awesome work with A Heart Divided! Iris has written another masterpiece with the continuation of this series. I really enjoyed reading about the marital relationships and courtship with familiar characters (JD, Tracy, Ashley, James, Calvin, Cynthia, Sam, Turk, Pearl, and BRIAN). Iris writes about the complexities of how secrets can really damage family dynamics and relationships. Forgiveness is a powerful thing and another key component/message that is clearly well written in this masterpiece. The storyline is really scary because you almost think you are reading about President Obama in his rise to the White House. If you are looking for a book that you can't put down and that will keep you up, purchase this one! You will not be disappointed; it is a well written book that will generate tears and laughter.
