Romance was never a genre I found to have the excitement and pull that I had come to find in other genres, such as mystery, thrillers, and contemporary fiction. After experiencing and being impressed with the writing of Loretta R. Walls, I was referred to Iris Bolling’s books. Well, I have to say…forget about sexy… IRIS BROUGHT ROMANCE BACK!!! Upon reading this novel, I have a renewed respect and level of expectation for romance books.

Initially I was taken aback by the tiny font, but I was told that as I read, the font would not even bother me – and it was the truth. I was also pleased to see that the subsequent books in the series were printed with eye-friendly font. An author who thinks about her readers – a plus!
When I find myself rooting for characters, drooling over others, and intrigued by even more, I know I have found a winner. Iris Bolling has without a doubt found her niche. If you are a lover of romance or if you find that romance is not satisfying your reading thirst, GO BOLLING! This is an excellent romance novel that covers an array of emotions and situations of the heart. I found there are 5 other books in the series and I will relish each one as I am acquainted with the characters of “The Heart” series.
